Gary Dembs and Trish Dewald are merging their organizations to create Mondo Unlimited, a metro- Detroit-based company that will provide an updated approach to consulting within the nonprofit sector in Michigan.
Dembs is the president and founder of Non-Profit Personnel Network (NPPN) and has built a national practice in executive search and consulted with many of Michigan and national nonprofits over the past 36 years.
Over the next six to eight months, Dembs will be working with Dewald and her network of consultants to move NPPN’s services to Mondo Unlimited. NPPN is often used by nonprofits for recruitment projects that find the C-suite and/or key personnel to drive change management projects.
Beyond executive recruitment, Dewald has a large focus on process improvement, helping nonprofits navigate the new hybrid workforce environment, developing sustainable funding models, and using modern marketing and relationship management techniques to drive stability and growth.
“I’m so grateful to have found a like-minded leader like Trish,” says Dembs. “She has similar approaches as my team when it comes to assessing talent, connecting the dots with culture fit and other variables, but a very different approach when it comes to modern digital practices. I’m excited to see where she takes the business from here, as we work together in this transition.
The partnership is expected to help clients with discovery, impact exploration, roadmap planning, and the mission critical search services to find the talent to implement plans. The goal is for Mondo Unlimited to offer consulting services tailored to each of these key areas.
“I’m thrilled to work with Gary on a gradual succession plan that works for both Mondo Unlimited’s business expansion goals and ensures a seamless transition for NPPN’s clients, over time,” says Dewald. “We’ll maintain the same personalized and thoughtful approach Gary has instilled and combine the executive search offerings with the current services Mondo provides. I’m looking forward to growing my business while continuing to support the nonprofit sector.
