Winning Futures, the Warren-based nonprofit organization, announced that Razzaaq McConner, vice president of purchasing and supply chain for the Americas at Adient, recently joined the board of directors.
Winning Futures is a nationally recognized and award-winning nonprofit organization that helps metro Detroit high school students figure out what they’ll do after high school, then teaches them the life and job readiness skills they will need to be successful.
“Winning Futures gives me the opportunity to mentor and develop young people who faced the same challenges as I did as a high school student in Pontiac,” says McConner. “I want to use my influence to impact the organization on a larger scale.”
McConner joined Adient in October 2020 after spending 17 years at Stellantis and tier one suppliers. Adient is an automotive seating supplier with 208 manufacturing facilities in 33 countries with 75,000 employees.
He is responsible for direct materials and indirect materials purchasing, logistics, supplier quality, and supplier diversity for North and South America supporting 42 manufacturing facilities.
“I’m looking forward to having Razzaaq’s influence on our board. His drive and dedication to excellence will inspire our students and our entire organization,” says Kristina Marshall, president and CEO of Winning Futures.
