Michigan’s premier cannabis business conference returns next month, bringing national star power and a sharp focus on the deals shaping the state’s industry. Power Connections Cannabis will take place Nov. 20 at VIBE Credit Union Showplace in Novi, convening more than 500 retailers, cultivators, brand founders, investors, and service providers from across Michigan and beyond.
This year’s keynote speaker is Daymond John, founder of FUBU and a longtime investor on ABC’s Shark Tank. He is joined by more than 20 speakers, including Chris Ostrowski, chief technology officer of Dutchie; Ankur Rungta, co-founder and CEO of C3 Industries; and Saphira Galoob, CEO of the U.S. Cannabis Roundtable.
“I look forward to seeing you on November 20th in Novi, Michigan, at Power Connections Cannabis, where I will be taking part in a fireside chat about what it takes to grow, compete, and lead in today’s business world,” said John, known as “The People’s Shark.” “I cannot wait to see you there.”
Beyond the main stage, the program takes on the policy questions facing Michigan operators. A Legislative Town Hall will bring invited state lawmakers face to face with the retailers, growers, investors, and service providers who feel the impact of regulation every day.
“Michigan’s cannabis market has grown up fast, and the companies that thrive are the ones in the right rooms with the right people,” said Derek Dickow, founder of Power Connections and conference chairman. “This conference is where buyers meet brands, capital meets opportunity, and partnerships take shape.”
The one-day event features a doubled exhibit floor with more than 40 vendors, a dedicated one-on-one meeting space attendees can book through the conference app, curated networking, and exclusive Daymond John experiences for VIP and Power+ guests. Attendees represent roughly 300 retail stores, and Power Connections events generate more than 3,000 business meetings.
Sponsors for this year’s gathering include Amnesia, Canopy HR, Citizens State Bank, Distru, Mercury Lighting and Sound, and Kairos Labs.
