Ann Arbor-based LLamasoft, a supply chain design solutions company, has announced Razat Gaurav as the company’s new CEO and member of the board of directors. Gaurav joins LLamasoft as a longtime supply chain industry executive, bringing experience in leadership positions at JDA Software, i2 Technologies, and Ernst and Young. He will replace Don Hicks, founder and current CEO, who will continue as the chairman of the board. Co-founder Toby Brzoznowski will serve as chief strategy officer.
“LLamasoft is one of the fastest-growing supply chain software companies in the industry today, and I believe it’s poised for an incredibly successful future,” says Gaurav. “The company already has a highly differentiated mix of optimization, simulation, and machine-learning capabilities, as well as an emerging, game-changing platform that will revolutionize supply-chain decision making. It is exciting to be part of a high-growth company with a culture rooted in product innovation and customer success.”
The company’s supply chain design tools and decisioning platform assist manufacturers, retailers, and logistics service providers worldwide to model, optimize, and simulate operations using a digital twin of their supply chains. LLamasoft’s software allows businesses to quickly identify opportunities for operational improvement while enhancing agility and velocity of decision making.
Customers of the company include Cardinal Health, Ford, GM, IKEA, Land O’Lakes, Michael Kors, Schneider Electric, and Unilever.
“Traditional enterprise systems are rigid and simply not designed for today’s rapidly changing business landscape. This means a majority of today’s supply chains are ill-prepared for digital transformation,” says Gaurav. “LLamasoft is uniquely positioned to rapidly enable this transformation and provide ongoing agility with the most advanced sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, retail design, and decisioning capabilities found in a single solution.”
