DETROIT — Hockeytown Cafe has launched an updated menu featuring 14 new pub-style classics to expand its appetizer and entrée lineup, including a signature baked Mac & Cheese.
Known as a popular pregame destination for Detroit sporting events thanks to its collection of authentic Detroit sports memorabilia, wall-to-wall HD TV’s and convenient location in the heart of downtown, Hockeytown Cafe’s updated menu offers several new options to expand beyond the traditional sports bar fare.
Fans can enjoy new signature entrees including a new pulled pork infused baked Mac & Cheese and five gourmet burgers, ranging in flavor profiles from the “Boss Hog” Burger, which features a meat lover’s dream; topped with zesty pulled pork, apple-smoked bacon, choice of cheese and crispy onion straws, to the Black & Bleu Burger that is seasoned with Cajun spice, topped with apple-smoked bacon, onion straws, 3 pepper-jack Colby cheese and gorgonzola crumbles.
Complimentary Fox Theatre structure parking is available for patrons on non-event days to experience the new additions for lunch on Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On game days, Detroit sports fans can take advantage of the convenient walking distance from Comerica Park and Ford Field. A free shuttle service is also provided to every Red Wings home game and select Joe Louis Arena events.
“We are excited to shake up our menu and bring several new twists to the sports bar fare our fans have come to love,” said Hockeytown Cafe’s General Manager Lupe Hernandez. “Our staff is dedicated to bringing Detroit fans the best dining and entertainment experience before, during and after the game or concert and we’re confident the new items on our menu will quickly become fan favorites.”
New menu options include several appetizers such as the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese Bites and the Baked Artisan Pretzel Sticks with Michigan Ale cheese sauce. Adding to its already wide selection of pizza offerings, two new custom pizza options are featured on the menu – a Philly Cheese Steak Pizza and a Spinach Artichoke Pizza. Additionally, new deli sandwiches on the new menu include options such as the Oven-Roasted Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and the Hockeytown Club Sandwich.
Fans can enjoy the new menu items, along with an assortment of more than 50 draft and bottled beers, in the two-story HockeytownCafe dining room, or on the Hockeytown Cafe Roof, which features outdoor seating and spectacular views of downtown Detroit.
