G2 Consulting Group, a Troy-based firm specializing in geotechnical, environmental, and construction engineering services, is expanding its wetland consulting capabilities with the addition of environmental resource specialist Abby Brown.
Brown brings five years of environmental consulting experience to G2, with wetland consulting serving as a primary focus throughout her career. She earned a degree in environmental science from Loyola University and will be based in G2’s Chicagoland office.

Abby strengthens our in-house expertise and our ability to provide comprehensive environmental services as demand for experienced consultants grows.”
Wetland consulting helps clients identify regulated wetlands and other environmentally sensitive areas and better understand potential permitting requirements before purchasing property, planning development or beginning construction. The service complements G2’s existing environmental capabilities, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, brownfield consulting and soil erosion and sedimentation control services.
In addition to wetland consulting, Brown is certified to perform erosion and sediment control inspections. She also holds the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Construction General Permit Site Inspector Certification, qualifying her to inspect construction sites covered under the EPA Construction General Permit. Brown also will support G2 clients in the power and energy sectors and other land development markets.
