Dickinson Wright Attorney Named to Defense Research Institute Committee

DETROIT — Dickinson Wright PLLC attorney Michelle L. Alamo has been appointed vice chair of the Defense Research Institute’s Intellectual Property Committee. She previously served as the committee’s 2014 program chair.

Alamo is a member in the firm’s Detroit office where she focuses on intellectual property and patent litigation, commercial & business litigation, and eDiscovery. She counsels clients in a wide range of industries including automotive, telecommunications, technology, and construction. She also assists clients in litigation matters involving defamation, antitrust, trade secrets, supplier contracts, tortious interference, and more.

She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Alamo is a delegate to the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference and is recognized as a leader in her field by DBusiness magazine as a Top Lawyer in metro Detroit.

She received her Bachelor’s of Science in electrical engineering from Kettering University and her J.D. from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law.
