Papa’s Kitchen in Troy is a is a certified women-owned salad dressing company founded by Christina Kalfaian in 2021. The company currently offers four unique gluten-free dressings.
Named after Kalfaian’s father, local restaurateur Jimmy Papadapoulos, Papa’s Kitchen’s four offerings are Dill, Greek, Harvest, and Vinaigrette salad dressings.
“My Papa created the one-of-a-kind Pink Greek dressing that many enjoy and love today,” Kalfaian says. “After he retired, we received numerous requests for his dressings. This began my journey, and I researched and developed Papa’s recipes for production in small batches to ensure his quality and taste.”
She started the company with her mother and in its first six months sold 10,000 units. The team has since tripled its sales from placements in more than 100 retail locations.
“To stand us apart from other large household name brands, we manufacture here in Michigan, package in 100 percent recyclable glass bottles, and partner with other local business owners for cross-collaborations,” Kalfaian says.
