Michigan Cat Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in St. Clair Shores that seeks to rescue homeless, abused, and abandoned cats and provide them with proper veterinary care and placement into loving homes. Many of the cats rescued by the no-kill organization come from high-kill shelters. The group provides the cats foster care placement after getting the proper medical care and before permanent placement. It estimates it has saved the lives of thousands of cats since it was founded in 2003.
