The Vehicle Group of Eaton in Galesburg, west of Battle Creek, has launched ServiceRanger 4 Pro Plus, an expanded version of the power management company’s diagnostics and service software tool.
It is designed to support the company’s automated manual transmissions, hybrid powertrain systems, Advantage Automated Series clutches, and Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies.
SR4 Pro Plus adds a new App Center that allows users to access additional apps used to service trucks. The first app available in SR4 Pro Plus is Eaton Advantage Automated clutch calibration software, which will allow dealers, fleets, and independent repair facilities to calibrate a new Advantage Automated clutch from Eaton when installing on non-Eaton and non-Eaton Cummins transmissions, including popular models such as Detroit DT12, Volvo I-Shift, and Mack mDRIVE automated transmissions.
The clutch calibration software was developed in collaboration with the Spanish Cojali Group, a commercial vehicle research, development, and innovation company with U.S. operations in Florida.
“The SR 4 Pro Plus upgrade is designed to make clutch installation and calibration quick so dealers, independent repair shops, and fleets can get trucks back on the road,” says Tim Bauer, vice president of aftermarket for Eaton’s Vehicle Group. “Eaton is helping to extend serviceability in the market while minimizing down time.”

In addition to these enhancements, SR4 Pro Plus maintains all the features of ServiceRanger 4 Pro, an all-in-one solution that combines diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and update information in a user-friendly interface.
