Southfield's Baker Tilly Adds 8 Employees

SOUTHFIELD — The Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP is adding eight new employees. They are: Shawn Fallon, Boyo N. Antabong, Matthew Howard, Holly D. Zimmerman, Matthew Wells, Richard King, Amy Minielly, and Cindy Maciejewski.

Fallon, who resides in Redfi has a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Eastern Michigan University. In her current role as senior accountant, she provides tax compliance, advisory services as well as tax planning for corporate and individual clients. Previously, she worked as the senior staff accountant at UHY Advisors. 

Antabong CPA of Southfield has a bachelor’s in science from the University of Detroit Mercy. In his current role as the senior account, he manages international tax and research. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, he was the international senior accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. 

Howard of Farmington Hills has a bachelor’s in finance and master’s in accounting from Michigan State University. In his current role as tax manager, he works closely with clients to provide tax saving strategies and comply with government relations. Howard previously worked for Baker Tilly from 2007 to 2012; after a brief tenure with Central Transport as the tax manager — he returned to Baker Tilly in 2013. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Zimmerman of Farmington has a bachelor’s in accounting from Walsh College. In her new role as audit manager, she plans and manages audits. She also reviews compilation engagements for entities including manufacturing, not for profit, construction, and real estate. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, she was an audit manager at Doeren Mayhew. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. 

Wells of Allen Park has a bachelor’s in accounting from Christian Clearwater College and a masters in accounting from Arizona State University. In his current role with Baker Tilly, he serves as a tax associate. Wells is a member of the American Latin Professionals in Finance and Accounting. 

King of Milford has a bachelor’s of science in business administration in accounting from Central Michigan University. In his new role at Baker Tilly, he serves as the staff accountant. He was previously the manager at Huntmore Golf Course. 

Minielly of Novi attended Oakland University, and provides office support in her new role as the administrative assistant. She provides assistance with human resources as it relates to campus recruiting and on-boarding. She also assists with marketing and internal services. 

Maciejewski of Southfield provides office support in her new role as the administrative assistant. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Maciejewski worked as an administrative assistant for the American Cancer Society.
