LANSING — Brian DeBano, president and CEO of the Michigan Restaurant Association, has been elected to the Council of State Restaurant Association’s board of directors.
DeBano was elected to the position, which begins in January 2015, at the groups annual government relationships annual conference held in November in Clearwater Beach, Fla. The CSRA exists to foster and promote the best interests of the state restaurant associations.
DeBano, of Laingsburg, joined the Michigan Restaurant Association in June 2011. Previously, he worked in state government for more than 20 years, including serving as COO and chief of staff for then Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the James Madison College at Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University.
