Bloomfield Hills-based Jarc, a nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities in metro Detroit, has added of Julie Feinberg, Josh Jacobs, and Leah Ungar to its board of directors.
Board members serve three-year terms, with responsibilities that include advocacy, community engagement, fundraising, and active participation in board committees.
“We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional leaders to Jarc’s board of directors,” says Adam Jahnke, president of the Jarc board. “Each individual brings unique expertise, talent, and passion that will strengthen our mission and help us continue to provide life-changing support to the incredible individuals and families we serve.”
Feinberg, a resident of Huntington Woods, advises education technology companies on competitive intelligence, market positioning, and strategic marketing. She previously served on the board of a Detroit-based charter school and is in her fifth year on the board of Hillel Day School. Feinberg brings a hands-on approach, a strategic mindset, and experience in nonprofit governance to Jarc’s leadership.
Jacobs is a real estate professional and attorney and is returning to the Jarc board. He first joined the board in 2015 and served three terms before rolling off and returning. A resident of Farmington Hills, Jacobs also serves on the board of Friendship Circle.
Ungar is a lifelong Detroiter and daughter of Holocaust survivors. She has lived in Oak Park for nearly five decades. A dental hygienist by profession and longtime community volunteer, Ungar has served with organizations including Young Israel of Oak Park, Yeshiva Beth Yehudah, Federation, and the Holocaust Memorial Center.
