The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors. The new appointees are Steve Davis, region president of Fifth Third Bank, and Carolina Pluszczynski, CEO of Michigan Central.
The DDP is downtown Detroit’s preeminent nonprofit, with a mission to cultivate social and economic impact in downtown Detroit. Its board is a diverse group of regional leaders committed to making downtown Detroit a thriving urban core and extending these efforts throughout the city.
“These leaders deepen our board’s influence and bring expertise that will directly guide Downtown Detroit Partnership’s development, planning and placemaking initiatives, advancing Detroit’s cultural and economic growth,” says Eric Larson, CEO of the DDP.
Davis leads the strategic direction and growth of Fifth Third’s commercial banking, wealth management and commercial payments businesses across Michigan. His appointment replaces David Girodat and Michael Ritchie, both of whom recently announced his retirements.
Pluszczynski, recently named CEO, previously served as Michigan Central’s COO, overseeing strategy and execution. She has held various leadership roles at Ford, including serving as chief of staff to the mobility president. She replaces the board seat held by former CEO Josh Sirefman.
