Bodman Adds New Associate Attorney

Joseph R. Morrison Jr. has joined Bodman PLC as an associate attorney practicing in the firm’s Ann Arbor office.

Morrison is a member of the Business and Intellectual Property Practice Groups. He will focus on representing startup companies and the venture capital firms. He also represents clients in intellectual property matters including trademark registration, maintenance and renewal; enforcement and defense of trademark rights; copyright registration and enforcement; and domain name disputes.

Previously, he served as corporate counsel and consulting manager to an IT startup based in Ann Arbor, where he helped scale the company to 50+ employees and $3 million in revenue. Previously, he was an associate attorney with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn.

Morrison, of Ann Arbor,  is a member of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education Business Law Advisory Board and New Lawyers Advisory Board, and he is active in the University of Michigan Law School’s Alumni-Student Mentoring Program.

Morrison earned his bachelor’s at the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond and his juris doctor from of the University of Michigan Law School.
