Blumira, a leading cybersecurity provider of automated threat detection and response technology headquartered in Ann Arbor, announced it has added four people to its leadership bench to support its rapid growth.

Helen Leonard has been named chief of staff. Jon-Eric Cornellier has been named director of marketing. Jeremy Young has been named director of partner strategy. Heidi Craun has been named senior director of customer experience.

“Our team continues to take the complexity out of security management and to make security affordable and accessible to organizations of all sizes,” says Steve Fuller, co-founder and CEO at Blumira. “This has been a momentous year for Blumira. I am proud of our team’s many accomplishments and look forward to continued growth and success.”

The new appointments follow a $10.3 million Series A round of financing and a period of growth as the demand for simple, automated, and affordable security solutions has continued to accelerate.

The company’s cloud-delivered security platform helps organizations of all sizes with limited security resources or expertise to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats faster to stop ransomware and data breaches.

Last month, Blumira announced that it has successfully completed a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, Type 1 assessment performed by ByteChek Assurance. This audit attestation validates that Blumira’s security protocols and use of data meet strict data security requirements established by the AICPA (American Institute of CPAs)

“This was a huge milestone for our team,” says Matt Warner, co-founder and CTO. “Successfully completing the SOC 2 examination shows our customers, partner, and the market at large the importance we place on security and building a cybersecurity product that customers can rely on and trust.”
