Frank Whalen and Jonathan Wild have been promoted to regional sales manager roles for Bloomfield Hills-based ARCH Cutting Tools, which is known for creating and manufacturing cutting tools.

Whalen’s work with ARCH began in 2015, when he worked at a company acquired by ARCH in 2019. He brings three decades of experience in cutting, tools distribution, and manufacturing.

He will manage the company’s central region, which has two employees that serve customers in Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Wild had a similar path to ARCH, working as a vice president at Rhode Island Carbide until that company was acquired by ARCH in 2017. He has worked in engineered solutions and customer service for more than 25 years and has been an adjunct physics and engineering professor.

He will oversee the eastern region, which has an office in Rhode Island.

Brent Broderick will also continue in the role as regional sales manager for the western region, which has an office in Indiana.

All three sales managers will report to Dino Fracassi, senior national sales director of ARCH Cutting Tools.

“I have confidence in Frank, Jonathan, and Brent; all three of them have unique backgrounds and expertise which will complement each other,” Fracassi says. “This regional change will allow ARCH Cutting Tools to react and make real-time decisions for our customers.”
