Career Dress was founded in Pontiac in 2016 to promote the economic independence of low- and moderate-income women living in southeast Michigan by providing professional attire to women actively seeking employment. Participants who are interviewing will receive one complete interview outfit as well as a new well-fitting bra and panty, shoes, purse, and toiletries. Once employment is secured, participants may return to the boutique and receive two more work-related outfits. Career Dress keeps women’s clothing sizes 00-6X as well as non-skid shoes and steel-toe boots in women’s sizes 5-13 in stock at all times. Scrubs, office attire, work pants designed for food industry as well as winter coats and boots also are available.
