Troy-based Motormindz, an automotive venture consultancy, has announced a partnership with Connected Strategy Advisors, an advisory firm based in Detroit focused on connected cars and products. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Through the partnership, Motormindz will continue to function as an automotive tech accelerator and use Connected’s expertise to work to bring connected vehicle solutions to market faster.

“As a leading advisor on connected strategies to automotive OEMs for more than a decade, CSA was a natural fit to add to our robust roster of industry experts. We’ve seen firsthand the growing interest in autonomous driving, connectivity, the electrification of vehicles, and shared mobility and expect the interest to increase exponentially moving forward,” says Jeff Van Dongen, CEO of Motormindz. “Our partnership with CSA will provide a one-stop shop for end-to-end connected car and customer leadership within the industry.”

The partnership will serve to accelerate and enhance the adoption of autonomous, connected, and electrified vehicle products and services for Motormindz clients as well as open opportunities to additional partners like wireless carriers.

“The Connected Strategy Advisors partnership is a critical factor as we experience phenomenal growth in this space,” says Greg Ross, connected car practice lead for Motormindz. “Our Connected Car Vision focuses on bringing together all of the pieces, from onboard and offboard infrastructure to wireless networks to smart mobility services.”

OEMs continue to invest in autonomous, connected, and electrified technologies, and these investments are matched by flows of venture investment into these areas. At the same time, Motormindz says, consumers have high expectations for a safe, high quality ownership experience.

“As we move into an era where connectivity will drive and support all other vehicle technology advancements, the timing of this partnership could not be more perfect for the industry,” says Percy Gendreau, CEO of Connected.

Motormindz serves OEMs, technology providers, mobility, and automotive retail. The company has a network of more than 80 executive-level automotive and technology subject-matter experts.

Connected is comprised of automotive executives with roots back to early connected car market leaders.
