RENK America in Muskegon has been awarded a 5-year follow-on Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) production contract by the Army Contracting Command — Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) in Warren for the HMPT 800 transmission.
This is the fourth award in a series of multi-year contracts, and has a potential maximum value of up to $691 million over the next five years. To date, RENK America has delivered more than 4,500 transmissions since the THOR partnership began to support the growth and sustainment of the U.S. Army’s medium tracked vehicle fleet.
As a partner to the U.S. military for more than a century, RENK America’s HMPT transmission has supported vehicles like the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) for decades, as well as the U.S. Army’s newest vehicle platform, the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV).
“Readiness begins with a resilient and responsive industrial base,” says Corey Johnson, CEO of RENK America. “This award reflects the trust placed in our team and our proven ability to deliver the HMPT transmissions and support our customer’s need to sustain the fleet. Every transmission we deliver contributes to the dependability and availability of the platforms that our Warfighters depend on around the world.”
