Pickle ball and golf will live together in a new facility in Beverly Hills in the coming months.

Paddle & Par will be a 48,000-square-foot complex at 31535 Southfield Road featuring 11 indoor pickleball courts, five Full Swing golf simulator suites, a wood-fire pizza oven, full-service bar, and a cafe featuring local businesses.

It is set in a former Bed Bath and Beyond store. Nearby businesses include Beverly Hills Health and Fitness Club and Beverly Hills Grill.

Our goal is to create an elevated social vibe where people can come and play, but also stay and connect with others in the community,” says Neal Check, co-founder of Paddle & Par. We are very much leaning into the social aspects of these two great sports.”

The space was designed to feel light, bright, and welcoming, according to Co-founder Dawn Check. It has a midcentury inspired color palette and custom millwork, which gives it a modern yet nostalgic feel.

The bar and dining area is complemented by several lounges situated around the club. The lounges are outfitted with comfortable furniture, plants, table tennis tables, and more. Other amenities include locker rooms, showers, and towel service.

There is a huge pickleball and golf culture here in metro Detroit and we want to bring something to the area that has more offerings than the average club.” says Michael Haener, COO of parent company Raincheck Development in Detroit. “Everything we are doing here is state-of-the-art, and we see facilities like ours as the blueprint of what active consumers want to experience.”

The pickle ball courts utilize Arcrytech coating, the official surface of the PPA (Professional Pickleball Association), designed to make the indoor courts feel like guests are playing outdoors. Court lighting will feature low-glare fixtures made by LSI, the official lighting partner of USA Pickleball.

All courts are individually fenced, have permanent nets, and the entire facility has zoned climate control and high-performance acoustic treatments, according to the developers.

Paddle & Par is the first hospitality focused project from Raincheck Development.
