Novi’s Pace Industries Expands Southwest with Acquisition in Tennessee

Pace Industries, a leading custom die casting, engineering, and manufacturing provider based in Novi, today announced it closed on the acquisition of Jackson Die Cast (JDC), an aluminum high-pressure die casting facility from Metal Technologies of Indiana. Pace Industries, a leading custom die casting, engineering, and manufacturing provider based in Novi, today announced it closed on the acquisition of Jackson Die Cast (JDC), an aluminum high-pressure die casting facility from Metal Technologies of Indiana. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located in Jackson, Tenn., the acquisition of JDC adds a strategic location the Pace’s footprint across the United States and Mexico. The facility offers core competencies in aluminum die cast and trim operations, machining, and assembly that align with and expand Pace’s portfolio

The 140,000-square-foot facility in Tennessee employs more than 100 people. The addition brings Pace to a total of 18 manufacturing facilities and nearly 4,000 employees within North America. Pace — which provides its services to the automotive, commercial vehicle, powersports, lighting, lawn and garden, appliance, aerospace, defense, medical, and other industries — plans to grow the facility.

Metal Technologies of Indiana is a metal casting and precision machining company based in Auburn, Ind. The company operates five iron foundries and two machining facilities with a capacity of 340,000 tons of iron castings yearly.
