Cabela’s to Open in Chesterfield Township Aug. 3

North American outdoor retailer Cabela’s has announced the opening of a new location at 45959 Towne Center Blvd. in Chesterfield Township. The store will be opening on Thursday, Aug. 3 and will be the brand’s fourth Michigan location, accompanied by stores in Dundee, Grandville, and Saginaw.

The 90,000-square-foot store is designed to offer customers an immersive outdoor experience, including Cabela’s signature mountain replica and wildlife display feature, more than 150 museum-quality taxidermy mounts, and vintage outdoor photos and memorabilia.

It will also include an indoor archery range, and a regionally specific theme and product assortment that is yet to be announced. Nationwide, Cabela’s sells products for hunting, shooting, fishing, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities. Outdoor enthusiasts will also find apparel, home and cabin wares, and accessories for various outdoor hobbies including birding, rock polishing, winemaking and brewing, and more.

Cabela’s has hired more than 175 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees to staff the store.
