Henry Ford Hospital hosted its ninth annual Grand Ball on Saturday, Dec. 8 at MGM Grand Detroit. More than 800 guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dancing, and live entertainment. Proceeds benefited the hospital’s Heart and Vascular Institute.

The MassMutual Foundation hosted its FutureSmart Community Leader Breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 29 at Little Caesars Arena. Detroit Pistons executives and community and business leaders enjoyed networking, a presentation on financial wellness, and a panel discussion moderated by actor and author Hill Harper. Guests were invited to attend the FutureSmart Challenge, in which middle school students were encouraged to think about their future financial success.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital hosted its Detroit Gala on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn. Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and live and silent auctions. St. Jude works to advance cures and prevention means for pediatric diseases through research and treatment.

Detroit-based Covenant House Michigan hosted its annual Sleep Out for executives on Thursday, Nov. 15 at their campus. Covenant House also held a Candlelight Vigil prior to the event at Beacon Park. C-level executives, business owners, organization leaders, and Covenant House board members had the opportunity to sleep outside to raise money and awareness for homeless youth.

The Michigan chapter of the German American Chambers of Commerce hosted its Fall Dinner on Nov. 14 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. John Hill, CFO of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan’s office, was the featured guest speaker.

Automation Alley hosted Luminate on Nov. 13 at Detroit’s Renaissance Center. The event served as the kickoff dinner to Automation Alley’s Integr8 2018, a global Industry 4.0 conference. Technology and manufacturing leaders were in attendance, and guests enjoyed a strolling dinner and cocktails.

Beaumont Health hosted its Autumn Gala on Nov. 10 at the MGM Grand Detroit. More than 550 guests enjoyed cocktails, a silent auction, dinner, and dancing. Proceeds benefited the campus expansion at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills.

Cauley Ferrari of Detroit in West Bloomfield hosted Uncork for a Cure on Nov. 9. The evening included a strolling dinner, wine, a trunk show featuring Roberto Coin Fine Jewelry, and luxury cars. Proceeds benefited the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center Breast Oncology Program and Breast Care Center.

On Nov. 8 at the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter held its annual National Philanthropy Day Dinner for more than 700 guests. The evening included a cocktail reception, a plated dinner, and an awards ceremony that honored individual, corporate, and foundation donors and volunteers.

On Nov. 9 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, the CFA Society Detroit held its annual forecast luncheon. The event featured Daniel Crosby, a renowned expert on understanding and capitalizing on the intersection of mind and markets, and David Kelly, who shared his economic and market outlook for 2019.
