Kyle Richardson of Yeo & Yeo, a Saginaw-based accounting and advisory firm, has received the Rising Star Award from the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
The Rising Star Award honors the accomplishments and contributions of up-and-coming CPAs who add value to their firm through strategic and innovative initiatives, leadership competencies, and commitment to the profession.
Since joining Yeo & Yeo in 2018, Richardson reportedly has distinguished himself through his dedication to clients, colleagues, and the communities he serves. As a member of the firm’s Trust and Estate Services Group, he provides tax planning and business advisory services to individuals, families, and business owners, helping them navigate complex financial decisions and achieve long-term goals. His technical expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to service have earned the trust of both clients and teammates.
Beyond his client work, Richardson has played a role in strengthening employee engagement and firm culture. Through his involvement with the Yeo Young Professionals group and the Yeo & Yeo Foundation, he has helped create meaningful opportunities for employees to connect, collaborate, and give back. When serving as the Foundation’s Young Professionals Service Chair, he helped lead a firmwide fundraising initiative that raised more than $24,000 for the American Cancer Society. Today, he continues that commitment as vice president and fundraising chair of the Yeo & Yeo Foundation Board and actively volunteers for the Bottomless Toy Chest and Woodside Bible Church.

Richardson is active in the Troy Chamber of Commerce and the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce Next Generation group. He is a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is a proud graduate of the Auburn Hills Chamber I Lead program and was selected as a recipient of the Chamber’s 2024 Tomorrow’s 20 Award.
Richardson will be recognized alongside other honorees at the MICPA Celebrate Awards on Nov. 11 at the Colony Club in Detroit.
