Tropical Smoothie Cafe, a fast casual restaurant that focuses on smoothies and healthy food options, has opened a new location in Westland.
The new location is the company’s 37th store in Michigan and 500th store total.

The menu of the new Tropical Smoothie, located at 35599 Warren Rd., ranges from $3 to $7, and includes flatbreads, wraps, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of smoothies, featuring ingredients such as strawberries, pineapple, peanut butter, banana, spinach, and more.
The new restaurant is owned and operated by franchisees Salem Najjar and John Abuaita, who plan to open at least six new locations in the Detroit area.
Rotondo says the company hopes to have more than 100 more locations in the Midwest in the next few years.
