TROY – ViSalus, the original challenge marketing company that helps people achieve their weight loss and fitness goals via the Body by Vi 90-Day Challenge, released the following statement in conjunction with Blyth, Inc.’s Fourth Quarter and 2011 earnings announcement:
“It’s gratifying that ViSalus has a significant financial impact on the company that believes in and supports its success,” stated Ryan Blair, Co-Founder and CEO of ViSalus. “How appropriate that ViSalus reached its one millionth member on March 11, further demonstrating our momentum, the commitment of our extraordinary Promoters and Staff, and ushering in a new ViSalus era.”
As noted by Blyth, ViSalus fourth quarter 2011 sales were $96.7 million and comprised 26.5% of Blyth’s fourth quarter net sales, compared to $13.3 million and 4.5%, respectively, for the same period last year. The fourth quarter sales growth parallels the previously announced seven fold sales increase at ViSalus to $230 million annually for 2011.
Launched in 2005 as ViSalus Sciences and now known as ‘ViSalus,’ the company provides health benefits from weight loss and fitness milestones, or “Challenges”, to better one’s overall health and wellness.
