Samaritas, a Detroit-based provider of human services to vulnerable populations across Michigan’s lower peninsula, has selected Dave Morin as its new CEO.
Morin had been serving as interim CEO for the past two years and previously was on the organization’s board of directors for seven years.
The appointment ensures continuity in leadership as the organization continues to evolve its services. Under Morin’s guidance, Samaritas is poised to further strengthen its commitment to building a community of passionate people who believe in the power of kindness and potential for change, according to the organization.
Morin co-founded multiple software companies before joining Samaritas, including Cielo MedSolutions and Mountain Pass Solutions. His success in driving change, building strong partnerships, and increasing operational efficiency is expected to be instrumental in advancing Samaritas’ mission.
“Dave’s entrepreneurial experience and commitment to our mission will provide the leadership Samaritas needs to begin its next 90 years of service to Michigan,” says David Lochner, chairman of Samaritas’ board. “In order for our organization to continue to provide transformational impact to those we serve, we’re going to need vision, creativity and focus – all qualities that Dave has brought over the last two years helping us get to this point.”
