DETROIT — Sachse Construction names Sheila Suppes president-elect of Commercial Real Estate Women Detroit, an international business networking organization dedicated to helping women succeed in the commercial real estate industry.
“Sachse supports the efforts of CREW to help women advance in the commercial real estate industry,” said Todd Sachse, CEO, Sachse Construction. “As the Detroit commercial real estate industry continues to grow, it is important that we work with CREW to educate and connect women professionals in our industry.”
Suppes, of Commerce Township, Sachse Construction’s director of business development and marketing, will assume her new role in January 2014. She will begin her presidential term in 2015. Suppes has been active in the organization leadership dating back to 2009. Her previous positions include: executive board member in 2012 and 2013, chair of the golf committee in 2011, co-chair of the communications committee in 2009 and 2010, member of the strategic planning committee in 2011, and member of the golf committee in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Suppes also actively participates as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and was a roundtable leader at the 2012 Centerbuild Conference. Additionally, she has participated in a social media panel discussion with the Construction Association of Michigan and is a member of the Michigan Business & Professional Association and Airports Council International.
Suppes holds a Michigan real estate license and a bachelor’s degree in advertising with a minor in graphic design from Central Michigan University.
