M1 Concourse in Pontiac expects to deepen its investment and commitment to community outreach through a strategic partnership with former Michigan State Sen. Adam Hollier and his firm, Static Line Solutions.

Along with former Hollier, Pontiac native James Johnson will now lead M1 Concourse’s community and government relations. Efforts will further strengthen M1 Concourse’s enrichment programs and relationships with neighbors, the city of Pontiac, Oakland County, and surrounding communities.

With a mission of further contributing to driving economic success and growth to Pontiac’s revival, M1 Concourse is a multi-generational gathering space intended to uplift and deliver benefits to create a successful community.

M1 Concourse also serves the Pontiac community through M1 Mobility, providing residents with access to community programs through much-need transportation services. M1 Concourse’s goal is to expand the impact with similar initiatives. M1 Mobility’s biggest fundraiser is the Checkered Flag Ball, coming up on Oct. 5 at M1 Concourse, as part of the American Speed Festival.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to strengthen M1 Concourse’s bridge to the local community,” says Hollier. “M1’s commitment and vision for Pontiac brought me here. Now, I get the honor of leading our efforts to include Pontiac residents. M1 Concourse is a major anchor committed to being a catalyst for growth and development in our neighborhood. I’ve seen them as a charitable difference-maker, giving back in the eight years since its creation. It’s time to take our investments to the next level here in Pontiac, where we know we can make a difference; truly meeting people in the middle where they need us.”

Tim McGrane, CEO at M1 Concourse, says, “The addition of former Sen. Adam Hollier and James Johnson’s talents and leadership will further solidify relationships M1 Concourse has within the City of Pontiac, Oakland County, the state of Michigan and our greater region. Together they will help take M1 Concourse’s vision around advocacy to truly make a difference in our surrounding neighborhoods.”

Hollier previously represented the 2nd Senate district, serving Wayne County including Detroit, from 2018 to 2022, and has been involved in community advocacy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in labor relations from Cornell University, where he played safety on the football team and was a decathlete. Hollier enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a civil affairs officer in the Army Reserve. He earned a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan. Hollier was appointed director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency starting in 2023.
