The Farmington Hills-based Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of William “Bill” Brey as its new business development and membership manager.

In his position, Brey will develop relationships with partners and managing strategies that assist in the retention of current business members and recruitment of new ones.

“I am excited and look forward to having Bill Brey on the team,” says Duc Nguyen Abrahamson, executive director of the chamber. “Mr. Brey’s career experiences with chambers of commerce, business development, and membership engagement will enable APACC to provide value to its members as well as grow APACC’s network.”

Brey worked with the Detroit Regional Chamber, Macomb County Chamber, and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwood University.

The chamber facilitates business relations among Asian and U.S. companies and promotes the economic advancement of Asian Pacific Americans. It was established in 2000 and is a not-for-profit membership association governed by an 18-member board.
