James Gehrke, an attorney, vice president, and shareholder at Detroit-based law firm Butzel Long has been elected to serve on the firm’s board of directors.
Gehrke practices in the firm’s Detroit and Washington, D.C. offices, and is the managing shareholder of the Washington office. He specializes in complex business matters such as qui tams, insurance coverage, and disputes regarding the manufacture and supply of commodity and complex products for government and industry. Gehrke clerked for the Hon. John Feikens of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and Chief Justice James Brickley of the Michigan Supreme Court.
Gehrke earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Michigan and his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
