Barton Malow in Southfield Promotes Four to Vice President

Barton Malow Co., a Southfield-based general contractor and construction manager, announced that Brian Miller, Tom Garza, Dave Gregor, and Joe Blanchette have been promoted to vice president in their respective divisions of the industrial entity of the Barton Malow Family of Cos.

Miller has been appointed vice president of battery as the automotive industry shifts from fossil fuel-driven powertrains to battery-driven. He has been with Barton Malow since 2016 and has a total of 24 years’ experience in the construction industry. He holds an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech, and brings an extensive and diverse background with automotive, heavy industrial, power and gas, and EPC projects.

Garza now will be vice president of automotive and will serve on the BlueOval SK Battery Park team. He brings 15 years of experience in heavy industrial and energy construction. He started his career with Barton Malow in 2006 and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Gregor, now vice president of building trades, will lead the company’s union self-perform teams focused on civil, concrete, structural steel, and general trades/interiors, drawing from his 14 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

Blanchette brings 25 years’ experience to his new role as vice president of energy, continuing his legacy of leadership after beginning his career with Barton Malow as a general laborer in 1996.
