Caracal Products & Services in Detroit, a provider of health care distribution and recycling solutions, has appointed attorney Richard “Chip” McWilliams to the company’s board of directors.
McWilliams has focused his career on counseling clients regarding labor-management relations and guiding clients through organizational development strategy.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chip to Caracal’s board of directors,” says Donalt Roberts, president and CEO of Caracal. “The communities we serve, and our clients, are profoundly impacted by the jobs created by Caracal. Chip’s insight into the workplace landscape will be invaluable as we continue to grow as an organization, creating more jobs in the communities that we serve.”
McWilliams is senior vice president of labor relations for Synergy Healthcare Services, one of the nation’s largest long-term care consulting companies. Prior to that, he was an attorney at Ford & Harrison and Littler Mendelson. He also served as a U.S. Army Ranger and qualified infantry officer in active duty and reserve service for more than 12 years. He is the owner and president of New Market Arms, which specializes in the sale of antique military artifacts and firearms.
“I am happy to join the board and help guide Caracal as it supports the sourcing and service needs of organizations nationwide,” says McWilliams. “Sound organizational development powers the operations of any successful company, and I look forward to providing Caracal with the benefit of my years in the labor and employment sector.”
McWilliams earned a law degree from Mercer University, holds a master’s degree in business administration from James Madison University, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Virginia Military Institute.
