
U Charge Up in Detroit, a provider of innovative mobile charging solutions, is now offering portable charging kiosks at Ford Field.
Through the U Charge Up mobile application, “users can seamlessly locate, rent, and return portable, high-performance chargers.”

U Charge Up works by:
- Download the App— Available for both iOS and Android platforms
- Locate a Charger — Find the nearest available charging kiosk in real time.
- Rent and Charge — Rent a portable charger for $2.50 per half hour, use it on the go, and return it to any U Charge Up kiosk when finished.
The service will be accessible during all Ford Field events. It’s also operational at other Michigan-based locations, including the Hudson Café and Four Winds Casino.

U Charge Up states it uses is eco-friendly, reusable chargers and a rental-based model that helps reduce electronic waste.
By partnering with local businesses, U Charge Up also supports community engagement and provides energy-efficient charging alternatives that drive foot traffic and customer satisfaction.
The company serves locations in Michigan, Indiana, Nashville, South Beach, Fla., Los Angeles, and Alabama. U Charge Up plans to expand rapidly across the United States and internationally.
It also plans to form more strategic partnerships with retail venues and public spaces to increase access to reliable mobile power solutions.
