The Conquer FinTech Accelerator, an East Lansing-based partnership between Michigan State University Research Foundation and MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), announced that it is opening applications for its fourth cohort.
The Conquer Finance and Insurance Accelerator is a highly selective 10-week program that provides mentorship, education, and industry insights for startups looking to get to their next stage in development.
Five startups are chosen to participate in each cohort, with the opportunity to engage with other founders and to receive mentorship from experts from all three supporting institutions.
Selected teams also receive investment support from MSU Research Foundation’s venture investment subsidiary — Red Cedar Ventures — once the program is successfully completed. Last year’s cohort includes Crebit, FinGoal, SPARE, Sail, and Jupid.
“The Conquer FinTech Accelerator reflects our belief that innovation thrives when startups, industry leaders, and community partners come together to solve real-world challenges,” says Ben Maxim, chief technology officer of MSUFCU.
“By connecting emerging fintech companies with Michigan’s financial institutions, investors, and innovation ecosystem, we are not only helping founders accelerate their growth but also strengthening Michigan’s position as a destination for entrepreneurship and technology-driven business.”
The fourth cohort of the Conquer FinTech Accelerator begins in January 2027, and is accepting applications starting this month. The program will follow a hybrid format, with its initial week held in East Lansing, which provides participants with access to area resources and networks.
