Sharrow Marine in St. Clair Shores, a developer and manufacturer of high-performance propellers, introduced the latest addition to its Sharrow MX Propeller line with the Sharrow MX4.
The MX4 is a 4-blade evolution of the company’s flagship MX propeller series, first introduced to the market in 2020. It uses the same “True Advance” technology and is engineered to deliver maximum efficiency and performance, now for larger and heavier boats.
Unlike traditional 4-blade propellers that compromise top-end speed, the MX4 propeller is designed to break the mold and outperform even the fastest 3-blade options on the market. In a recent test on the MJM 43z powered by triple 300-hp Mercurys, results showed that the MX4 was faster than conventional 3-blade propellers at every RPM from idle to WOT.
“We’ve shattered the notion that 4-blade propellers are slower than 3-blades,” says Greg Sharrow, founder and CEO of Sharrow Engineering and Sharrow Marine. “The MX4 has more stern lift than traditional 4-blade props, and also offers between 10 percent to 30 percent more fuel efficiency at cruising speeds, making it a game-changer in the industry.”
Customers interested in purchasing their Sharrow Propeller can put down a deposit online. After the reservation deposit is placed, a member of the Sharrow Marine team will consult directly with customers.

The Sharrow MX Propeller was selected as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023 and was honored by Fast Company’s 2023 Innovation by Design Awards. The Sharrow MX Propeller won the 2022 Boating Marine Power Innovation Award from Boating Magazine and the 2020 Miami International Boat Show Innovation Award.
