Women Rock Science 2026

The Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills hosted its annual Women Rock Science event on Oct. 14. The event celebrates women in STEAM and aims to ignite curiosity in children. It included networking, hands-on STEAM experiences, hors d’oeuvres, STEAM-themed cocktails, an Acheson Planetarium program, and full access to the Cranbrook museum exhibits. Awards were presented to Kimberly Kocsis (Outstanding Educator), Rhonda Walker (Outstanding Leader), and Amy Peterson (Rock Star). Since 2018, Women Rock Science has raised about $1.93 million toward STEAM education. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
