Successful Communities, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Detroit in 2022, does three things: Revitalize forgotten communities, remodel dilapidated property, and designate the renovated homes and neighborhoods for refugees, veterans, mother head of households, and others. It is an organization committed to rebuilding not just houses but the hopes and dreams of those in need. Successful Communities’ mission is to maximize its participants talents and empower their contributions to strengthen their family success and the nation’s social and economic prosperity. It invests donated resources to rehabilitate forgotten neighborhoods that create safe refuge for those seeking safety, opportunity, and the American dream. The organization leads a coalition of nonprofit organizations and local agencies to provide social services to help people start over, become self-sufficient, and integrate with their new community.
