The nonprofit organization JOURNi was founded in Detroit in 2016 to empower individuals from high-potential, urban communities by providing them with the tech education needed to compete and thrive in the local ecosystem. It does so by facilitating in-school, after-school, and paid summer internships where it introduces young people to web development, design thinking, and entrepreneurship education.
