The Isabella Community Soup Kitchen is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the goal of providing free meals to anyone who needs one in Mount Pleasant. Founded in 1990, it began as a class project from Gary Taylor who saw a classmate eating a ketchup sandwich out of necessity. Since then, it has grown to serve anyone who needs a meal six days per week (two meals per day). The kitchen estimates it serves approximately 100 meals per day. It is located at 621 S Adams Rd. next to Freddie’s Tavern.
