Haiti Nursing Foundation is a nonprofit organization located in Ann Arbor. The foundation improves health in the Republic of Haiti by supporting quality nursing education, primarily at the Faculty of Nursing Science of the Episcopal University of Haiti in Léogâne. It is a Haitian-led nursing school that opened in 2005 and is the first and highest ranked baccalaureate nursing program in Haiti. To date, 13 classes have graduated, totaling 225 Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 16 family nurse practitioners. The Haiti Nursing Foundation supports centers of excellence for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education for nurses, preparing them to serve as health care practitioners, faculty, and leaders in Haiti’s health care system.
