The Detroit Area Agency on Aging is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Detroit that serves older persons, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Detroit, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, Highland Park, and the five Grosse Pointes. It provides information and assistance, nutrition services, health and wellness services, home care services, long-term care, a long-term care ombudsman, a Medicaid-Medicare assistance program, a senior community service program, community wellness service centers, a committee for grandparents raising grandchildren, and advocacy for the senior community.
