Christian Brothers Dinner 2026

De La Salle Collegiate in Warren hosted its 45th annual Christian Brothers Dinner on April 30 at Penna’s of Sterling Heights in Sterling Heights. The event honored Msgr. Charles Kosanke, pastor and rector of the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit and a 1977 graduate of the Christian Brothers-run high school, for his service to the community. Nearly 750 people attended the event, which celebrated 100 years of De La Salle. It included a VIP cocktail hour, dinner, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds from the dinner support student merit-based scholarships. On July 1, Kosanke will be Full-Time Priest Support to the South Oakland 4 Family of Parishes (10). It is anticipated that Kosanke will serve primarily at National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica, Royal Oak. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
