Virginia-based TemperPack, which produced insulation products, plans to expand its production capability by moving its Green Cell Foam operations from Holt to a 60-percent larger plant in Lansing.
The company’s new 135,000-square-foot plant will allow it to upgrade equipment and improve operational flow to increase production capacity, officials note. It also offers more shipping and receiving docks, which is expected to speed logistics efforts. The location is closer to interstate highways, allowing for easier transport.

“This new facility significantly enhances our manufacturing and service capabilities, enabling us to deliver greater efficiency, speed, and reliability to our customers.”
The expanded plant capacity support’s the company’s mission to produce environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional packaging materials — ClimaCell thermal liners, WaveKraft paper insulation panels, and Green Cell Foam.
Green Cell Foam is a sustainable packing material used to insulate packages for shipping. An alternative to polystyrene and similar materials, it’s compostable and dissolves when soaked in water.
