Pentastar Aviation, located at Oakland County International Airport in Waterford Township, has announced the appointment of seasoned industry veteran and long-time Pentastar leader Brad Bruce to the role of president and CEO.
Bruce has been a member of the Pentastar team for the past 10 years, most recently serving as the executive vice president of sales and maintenance.
In this role, Bruce led Pentastar’s sales and marketing, business development, and strategic direction. He also served four years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aircraft technician on Cobra and Huey helicopters before earning a bachelor’s degree in flight science from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
In addition, Bruce has held senior leadership positions with other multi-service aviation companies before joining Pentastar.
“Brad has a strong passion for serving our customers, leading teams, and supporting talent,” says Edsel B. Ford II, owner of Pentastar Aviation, which provides global private aviation services. “I know he is the right leader as we approach our next chapter as a company. I am confident in our direction and the talent of our team to continue delivering the industry-leading, award-winning service we are known for, and that our clients have come to expect.”
Bruce replaces Greg Schmidt, who provided 16 years of service, time, and contributions.
“It’s my distinct honor to lead the Pentastar team as we celebrate our landmark 60th year in business in 2024,” Bruce says. “We have a big year ahead with promising opportunities, and I know we will accomplish great things as a team, taking Pentastar to new heights.”
Pentastar Aviation states it is among the most awarded FBOs in the world, offering complementary and support services for private jet charters, comprehensive aircraft management services, full MRO services, advisory and consultative guidance, catering with in-house Fivestar Gourmet, and more. Ford acquired the company 20 years ago.
