The Northville Concours D’Elegance will honor famed automotive legend Jack Roush and his family as “Collectors of the Year” honorees at its annual Founder’s Dinner on July 11 and at its fifth annual car show on July 12.
The 2026 Northville Concours D’Elegance will be the only concours held in southeastern Michigan this year. The event, scheduled for July 10-12, is sponsored by Hagerty, UBS bank, Mecum Auctions, and other companies.
The event, held just north of downtown Northville on the grounds of the Mill Race Historical Village, is unique in that it is organized and managed by young automotive enthusiasts led by Founder and Chairman David Kibbey.
“Planning for the fifth anniversary of the Northville Concours d’Elegance began 18 months ago,” says Kibbey. “We have been focused on making this show our finest yet. It is an honor for us to have the opportunity to celebrate Roush’s 50th anniversary alongside the Roush family with former Roush racing driver, Lyn St. James.
“This year wouldn’t be possible without our entrants, guests, friends, and sponsors. I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone.”
Kibbey has served as chairman of the Northville Concours D’Elegance since he launched the event in 2021 with an all-volunteer youth group. Kibbey, 20, also has served as an official judge at the national Concours shows at Amelia Island in Florida and Pebble Beach in California.
A major mission of the Northville Concours is to engage youth in an appreciation of the U.S. automotive heritage.
The Fifth Annual Northville Concours D’Elegance will display nearly 150 vehicles and honor Roush, a driving force behind Ford Racing for nearly 50 years, as “Collector of the Year” for the 2026 event.
The 2025 honorees were Al and Eva Schultz, and 2024 honorees were Ken and Kristin Lingenfelter. The Lingenfelter Collection in Brighton is regarded as one of the largest in the United States with more than 200 vehicles.
Former Indy Race Driver Lyn St. James will be serving as the chief mentor for the 2026 event. St. James will guide some 20 youth show judges ranging in age from 7 to 18 to formally judge cars in the Concours Show.
“Having a legendary race driver such as Lyn St. James participate in this year’s Concours as a mentor is a great honor” says Kibbey. “We are very grateful for her participation and excited at the prospect of the best Concours event ever held in Northville with a record setting spectator crowd expected and the only one such event in southeastern Michigan.”
