Dick’s House of Sport will open at Partridge Creek Mall in Clinton Township and anchor the west end of the open-air shopping center.
The new 116,000-square-foot store will occupy the former Nordstrom space. A date for the opening has not been announced.
“Building on several years of leasing and repositioning momentum since Spinoso Real Estate Group assumed management and leasing responsibilities in 2021, we’re excited to welcome Dick’s House of Sport as the next step in transforming The Mall at Partridge Creek’s anchor lineup,” says Carmen Spinoso, CEO of Spinoso Real Estate Group.
“Dick’s House of Sport is expected to complete a multi-year repositioning of Partridge Creek’s anchor lineup by filling the property’s final available anchor space. Alongside MJR Theatres’ continued presence and the recent opening of Powerhouse Gym, this dynamic addition will strengthen Partridge Creek as a destination for shopping, entertainment, and fitness, giving the metro Detroit community more ways to connect and explore new experiences.”
Dick’s House of Sport is an experiential retail concept that the company says “will feel familiar” to anyone who shops at Dick’s Sporting Goods, while also representing the next evolution of sports retail.
“We tailor each Dick’s House of Sport location to the local market and have carefully designed each concept to be more than a retail store,” says Brian Bacik, vice president of real estate development for Dick’s. “House of Sport is a community destination that offers new opportunities for local programming and will bring metro Detroiters together through sport.”
The new store is expected to provide athletes with a wide assortment of products along with in-store experiences, including a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators, and a multi-sport cage that can be used for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer. The experiences give athletes an opportunity to try products in the store while measuring and tracking their performance.
