The Detroit Tigers today revealed renderings and details of its new upscale Home Plate Club at Comerica Park, expected to open during the 2025 baseball season.
The new prime seating directly behind home plate will be ready for Opening Day, but the new club space under the stands likely will take longer to complete, according to club executives.
The new premiere package, originally announced in June, will include luxury seating behind home plate, access to the Home Plate Club that will feature curated amenities and luxuries, a main-feature bar, a diverse culinary experience, private restrooms, and VIP parking.
The renderings show intricate design features that resemble the past, present, and future of Detroit, refined architecture, and upscale finishes.
Home Plate Club members will be able to choose from a rotating menu of small, composed dishes with a mix of local ingredients and gourmet twists on classic ballpark fare. The menu will offer sushi and charcuterie to small plates and customizable desserts. The team says guests will have “an upscale restaurant experience with all the traditional ballpark fare in the comfort of Comerica Park.”
Food can be enjoyed in the club’s grand dining area before or after games, or in the stadium seats during games.
Construction, which will entail earth moving beneath the stands to make room for the high-ceiling club, removing the grounds crew’s access tunnel directly behind home plate, and installing new seating, will begin once the current season concludes.
Another feature fans can expect in 2025 are all-new Loge Boxes, located in the lower level of Comerica Park, between first and third base. With access to the Home Plate Club and all the same benefits, the new boxes will offer fans a semi-private luxury seating and game-viewing experience. A privacy wall will partially enclose the seat sections, and provide additional comfort directly in front of each chair.
“The announcement of our Home Plate Club and Loge Boxes showcases our organization’s ongoing commitment to providing a first-class fan and player experience,” says Ryan Gustafson, president and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, a division of Ilitch Cos. in Detroit.
“Our goal is to continue investing and creating a variety of best-in-class experiences for all fans. Adding exclusive, premium seating options is feedback we’ve heard consistently, and we are thrilled to unveil these exciting upgrades during the 2025 season.”
As part of construction surrounding the Home Plate Club, the Tigers also are upgrading the visitors weight room and other clubhouse spaces as well as the umpire lounge.
