Colliers U.S., a leading real estate professional services and investment management firm which operates several offices in Michigan, today announced that Simon Jonna and Raymond Jonna, brothers and principals of The Jonna Group in Birmingham, have joined the company’s national investment division.

Founded in 2005, The Jonna Group, with seven employees, specializes in the sale of NNN (triple net) corporate leased investment brands, including retail, medical, office, industrial, and more. The firm, based at Birmingham Place at 401 S. Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham, is now part of Colliers.

The office will be co-branded by both firms, and plans are to add more employees and grow the office. Colliers also manages Birmingham Place, which was built in 1981 and offers office, retail and residential space.

“With strong credibility and resources, Colliers has been on a roll having acquired top-tier companies and talent around the country,” says Simon Jonna. “The platform, technology, and client services are unparalleled.

“We are thrilled to be amongst the talent joining Colliers as their bandwidth represents more volume, meaning a broader reach and more client resources to complement our investment sales niche, we now offer clients access to all host amenities to include financing, leasing, property management, tax appeals, cost segregation, appraisals, and even engineering.”

In addition, The Jonna Group has expertise in shopping centers, multi-family, mixed-use urban core, pre-sales under construction, portfolio bulk dispositions, and sale-leasebacks.

“As a team, we have created an elevated client experience and joining Colliers is a building block for our accelerated growth,” says Raymond Jonna. “We have seen many cycles and with a global backing, (it) will only enhance our national footprint and our clients will be immediate and long-term benefactors.”

Recently, Simon and Raymond were with Marcus & Millichap in Southfield as senior managing director and managing director, respectfully. Prior to his entry into the investment real estate segment, Simon was a stockbroker professional at UBS.

“Colliers Detroit was like a V8 engine hitting on all cylinders culturally, synergistically, and with the high level of service and expertise we provide. The addition of the Jonna Group just made us a Twin Turbo V12,” says Paul Choukourian, executive managing director of Colliers International, which has offices in Birmingham, Southfield, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Holland, and Traverse City.

In recent years, The Jonna Group has received numerous awards, including Wallstreet Journal Top 30 Performers, 30 in their Thirties by DBusiness magazine (Simon), and Midwest Real Estate Hall of Fame, among others. More information on the group can be found at www.TheJonnaGroup.com.
